During the six month coaching period, Diana provided a structured, reliable, safe space where I could grow my speaking skills, work through blocks, receive honest feedback, and add to my professional toolkit. One thing that I really appreciated was Diana's consistent honesty and genuine commitment to seeing me and my work next-level. She didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear to be the fullest version of myself as a speaker and mission driven entrepreneur. One of the outcomes I'm most grateful for, and totally didn't expect initially, were the coordination of newly professional headshots and promotional photos. Diana found an incredible photographer in my area and she helped me prep the right looks to convey the messages consistent with my brand. After the shoot, her feedback helped me identify the best images to use across marketing platforms and for upcoming speaking events.
Diana also helped me redesign my speaker bio, presentation slide templates, media kit, and speaker request forms. Her invaluable insights have led to a major streamlining and refining in these areas and have provided a significant confidence boost, as I feel much more prepared to be booked as a speaker. Ultimately, working with Diana has led to greater alignment in my work and mission. I'm clearer about the kinds of speaking events and collaborations I want to say "yes" to, and I'm far more prepared and confident when executing them.
Working with Diana has been amazing. I was hesitant to hire a public speaking coach fearing they wouldn't understand what I was trying to accomplish with my story or my coaching business. After speaking with Diana, it was clear she is experienced and knew exactly what I needed and the direction I was headed. Not only did she help me with my story but also with rebranding, revamping my website and positioning me to succeed in my field of expertise.
Diana's strength is knowing how to captivate an audience and how to customize your own speech and presentation to do the same and make an impact. Every single suggestion and piece of advice was helpful and I was able to apply it to my work.
Working with Diana has been the best decision that I can have done in my life! She has been an amazing coach who has walked me step-by-step in my journey of finding my voice and empowerment. I truly enjoyed how she not only provided education on the area of her expertise but also helped me execute the steps that I needed to accomplish my goals. I was really impressed with Diana and how much we accomplished together by just putting our heads down and going to work. Diana is a coach who truly makes things happen!
I want to formally say THANK YOU very much from the bottom of my heart. I came into this program thinking that I would only learn a bunch of public skills, but my experience was far better than that. Going through the program and working with you has been one of the best decisions that I have made in my life. I still remember when we first met and you told me that I would finish the program by performing and sharing my story in public. My response was “nope, not happening in a million years” but here we are today.
I successfully completed Your Story to Tell Academy and most importantly I spoke in public and shared my story to an audience for the very first time and I have received tremendous positive feedback. Learning about my turning points and how those shaped me into the woman I am today is such an empowerment feeling. I realized that I had the choice to look at those turning points as positive and learned experiences.
Thank you for all the support in drafting my story and the endless advice and feedback on my video drafts and making yourself always available. Especially, thank you for working with me and modifying the program to my specific needs, it felt like a very specific and individualized program.
The most meaningful thing that I gained from this program and modules was finding courage and my voice to share my life experiences in hopes that it would inspire others. I learned about my own speaking style and that gave me the confidence to speak in public and to an audience and to communicate with others and it definitely was worth the investment. But most importantly I gained a good mentor, friend, and met wonderful, strong, brilliant, and courageous women.
I’ll start off by saying I am very thrilled I took the time to invest in myself. I often kept telling myself that I wasn’t ready because of so many other commitments. Truth is I made the time to do something for myself and I enjoyed it. I am such an introvert at heart. But I acknowledge that I often push myself to get outside my comfort zone. It’s the only way that humans evolve. I am well aware of my struggles, and I often step out my comfort zone so that these new experiences allow me to self-expand.
This course allowed me to take some time to reflect on my story. To take a closer look at each angle of my story. I often feel like I hold so much in and I know the importance of sharing the pieces of our life that have transformed us. The world needs to hear our stories to be able to self-connect with each other. These pieces we share allow others to walk in our shoes for a moment, experience life in the eyes of the storyteller.
I for one can say that the most impowering moment for me was practicing my story while self-recording. The more I practiced the more powerful I felt. I was able to awaken a different part of me that I never knew existed. As hard as it was in the beginning, I am grateful to have seen the transformation at the end. I am not the same person that started the course at the beginning. I feel now that I am better equipped to share more parts of my life with the world. I am now even thinking of translating my story into a Spanish version to share with the world.
I am thankful for Diana’s support throughout the 11 weeks. She was there along to help in the process. A great motivator in the times where I felt I was uncapable of delivering my story. Her uplifting words of encouragement where always there when you needed to hear them. Her modules were great examples of how to deliver an impactful story with attention to detail. Diana holds such a gift and I am thankful to have her in my corner cheering me on. I look forward to the next upcoming storytellers, you’re all in great hands with Diana!
If you are considering Diana’s storytelling course, I would tell you without any hesitation – just do it. Though you will need to do the hard work for the 12 weeks, as in writing your story, practicing the performance, the best part is that Diana is going to be there all along. Diana helped me review the key points of my story, identify the themes, refine the story, structure my talking points, prepare for the virtual performance and focus my energy on practicing and positive outcomes. She was cheerleading me on as I sent her practice videos week after week, she provided very detailed constructive feedback, so I could improve my speaking techniques, tone, pace and pauses.
When I first began working with Diana, I was fearful and nervous about the thought of telling my story; a necessary next step for me to grow as a female leader. During our sessions together, Diana taught me, through brilliant strategy and tips, how to be a confident and open speaker, how to truly own my story. She was always available to take my questions and guide me through them. She encouraged me to do my best and put in the work that was needed to get the desired results. Diana’s approach is very much rooted in empathy, listening, combined with great intuition, as to the best ways to help you become more vulnerable and be ready to tell your story on your terms. She will help you improve your speaking abilities so you have a better chance of success and becoming a more confident person as a result. I learned how to speak my truth and own my story, have a compelling opening, and to maintain a strong stage presence by being in control of my presentation from start to finish.
And in the end, I nailed it! My presentation was a big hit, people even suggested that I should submit for a Ted Talk. I am so glad I hired Diana and recommend her to anyone who wants not only to improve their public speaking skills, but to learn how to own their story and be able to confidently tell it.
For soo long, I carried around mountains of emotions from experiences that I’ve lived through. Some I could describe in a heartbeat. While others, I’ve recently discovered I’ve managed to keep very well hidden…even from myself.
With the structure, the weekly material provided within the academy and with the help of Diana, I was able to dig deep and connect with my inner self in ways I never thought I would be able to. She helped me uncover raw truths about my past and my present that I did not have the tools to uncover and find all on my own. She can light up a room with her presence and her vibes. She is inspiration. Gracias mujer por existir y por conpartire toda tu sabiduria con nosotros.
Never in this lifetime did I imagine that by simply learning how to piece together and learn how to tell my story that I would find myself reinventing a brand new ‘me’ in the process. Throughout my 11 week journey with the academy I’ve learned that we all have a story to tell. That we each have voice and that not only does it matter, but that the universe needs us to release it because we never know who is in need of hearing our words.
My journey in the Your Story To Tell Academy has lit a fire deep within my mind, my heart and my soul and I will never be the same. May you have the courage to learn how to tell your story, I promise you, you will not regret it.
I truly believe there is magic in the kind of healing a story can provide. It’s a mirror. It’s insight you never knew you had or even needed. It’s connection. It’s the purest form of escape. It’s freedom. I have always loved stories. In written form. In film. Spoken word. Over the radio. Theater. There is something about a story, on both ends, whether you are the speaker or the audience--that is incredibly cathartic.
Learning to read was truly life saving for me. All of a sudden I had access to unlimited stories, unimaginable sagas, the entire world at my doorstep. Learning to write, was an entirely new adventure. It helped me sort through the universe that lives inside of me. For a long time, this universe felt like a big, black hole. I didn’t want to look in there for fear of getting lost. I truly didn’t know my own story--at least not how to tell it.
Do you know how confusing that is? I struggled to compose all of the pieces of myself into a coherent narrative. I stumbled through chapter after chapter. It felt directionless. It was demoralizing. It made it very hard to be authentic. To Live my truth. To blaze my trail.
I don’t believe in coincidences. So, I will just say that through a series of divinely ordained events (including a tarot reader, a chance encounter, and an unlikely, for me, RSVP to a Facebook event)--I found myself sitting at the very first Your Story To Tell Academy graduation. I fell in love with stories, again. My seat cradled a tiny flyer. The next academy would start the following month. My two friends, who had accompanied me, both looked at me and said “So, are you going to do it?” I didn’t know it yet, but I was, but I would do it.
The 11 weeks I spent in the Your Story to Tell Academy changed my life. Diana taught me how to structure a story, but more importantly she taught how to take ownership of my story, of my voice. She taught me to face my fears. To have faith and courage in my voice.
“This is YOUR story to tell.”
That’s what she said. That’s what I learned. No one could tell me it wasn’t true because no one else, besides me, had lived it. I needed Diana and YSTT. She helped me in the most practical of ways-- how to present my story, how to add that oomph, how to stand in front of a crowd.
However, her biggest impact was almost spiritual. Diana truly has a gift for tapping into your need. For uplifting. Illuminating. She’s a light. She made me believe in myself and highlighted talents I didn’t even know that I had.
Completing my graduation in front of 50+ people, was walking through a threshold. I spent most of my life, fractured. Fragmented. In a box. She helped me find wholeness in all of that. She helped me find more than clarity. She walked me into freedom. The YSTT Academy helped me find myself. Call it destiny. Call it divine intervention. Call it whatever you will.
I will simply call it magic.
At first I was a somewhat nervous... I never thought I would be performing again up on stage all by myself. But my inner voice kept on nudging me until I've met Diana Diaz whom I forever grateful for truly believing in me.
What I've learned in my 11-weeks journey at Your Story to Tell Academy is that it is important to share your story not only because this serves as a purpose to help people understand about our situations, how to connect with us even better but inspire others as well. Most importantly, it brings healing and wholeness to oneself.
I feel like I've lost all these heavy weight I was feeling in my heart. Free at last!
Wow! Wow! Wow! is how I would describe the Your Story To Tell Academy if i had to in three words. It was transformational. I knew I had a story, a few stories actually, but Diana helped me chose the story that was 1. Most impactful in my life and 2. Most relatable to other women like me.
Diana guided us through 1-on-1 coaching sessions and evening weekly homework that I enjoyed so much because not only did I learn more about myself but it also allowed me to do what she calls "brain dump" to get rid of all the noise and distractions. Diana is a master on what she does and she helps us get to another level of confidence to share our stories!
This was a life changing experience for me! One of the bravest moments of my life! I let go of fear and courage won!!! I am not one to openly discuss my past to complete strangers or discuss it on social media...but I have literally come to a point in my life that I no longer have to be who I once was. I don’t have to build a tough exterior to hide behind. I am free to be me! I am a survivor of child sexual abuse and if I have helped at least one person free themselves from that bondage of silence then I will tell this story 100 more times! And thank you to the YSTT Academy for helping and encouraging me to tell the story...the story that freed me. I am brave, strong and I am finally free.
The Your Story to Tell Academy gave me a platform to tell a story that was buried in me. Thank you for all the guidance. The lessons have helped me overcome my fear of executing my ideas. I have learned to clear my mind and find my artistic passion.
This has been my therapy. I've uncovered a lot of deep wounds and slowly in this short period found some closure. It has inspired me to move forward with something I have always felt in my heart that I should be doing. I just didn't know how or where to start. Thank you for all of your patience, your flexibility, your kind words and your support - means a lot.
